VENUES - MacCallum & Cullen Rooms

Built in 1939, the MacCallum Room was named after Professor Sir Mungo MacCallum and the Cullen Room was named after Sir William Portus Cullen, both of whom were Chancellors of The University of Sydney.

The rooms are divided by a large wooden folding door, making one room ideal to be used as the main conference room and the other as a breakout room or for catering. For dinners, the second room is often used as the dance floor area.

The upper terrace attached to the MacCallum and Cullen rooms makes the perfect setting for outside catering and provides the ideal viewing point of the University's tranquil gardens and St Paul's College.

The foyer of the MacCallum and Cullen Rooms has a Vergil Lo Schiavo mural entitled 'A Tribute to Shakespeare', which won the 1945 Sulman Prize from the Art Gallery of NSW.
